Now hiring for security guard positions in Flowood! Our client, a well-known company with offices in Flowood, is currently looking for dedicated individuals to fill openings for security guards. If you work well on a team, as well as independently, and have good judgement and decision-making skills, this could be a great position for you! As a security guard, you will work directly with both company employees and visitors from outside the company to ensure a safe and secure environment. Security guards are responsible for monitoring access to company premises, and ensuring against incidents, such as theft or violence. Important duties include patrolling and inspecting property in order to monitor for fire, theft, vandalism, or any criminal activity, monitoring access to the buildings and the company premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to alarms or calls for service. Security guards may also perform secure activities, such as handling cash. Responsibilities:

  • Patrol property .
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points
  • Monitor surveillance equipment
  • Monitor access to the buildings and the company premises
  • Ensure alarm systems, doors, and windows are all secure and properly working
  • Respond to alarms or calls for service
  • Apprehend or detain individuals who pose a threat to security
  • Perform secure activities, such as handling cash
  • Interview witnesses and testify in court, as needed
